The era of AI is here.

And Skynet didn’t nuke us.

Your life might look a lot like it used to.

You played with ChatGPT and found out that it didn’t just magically fix everything for you.

You tried NotebookLM and found that it was REALLY intellectual.

And you sat there looking at your computer thinking something like…

I thought this would be better. Oh well. Moving on.

And then you might have taken another stab at it months later.

And it felt pretty much the same.

Still didn’t get you what you wanted.

What did you want again?

Was it —

  • something to take all the work away?

  • something that would just get it done?

  • something that did it FOR YOU?

I know I did that too.

I can’t tell you how much work I put into getting the AI du jour to do it all for me so I didn’t have to be involved in that thing (whatever that thing was).

And it just never worked.

Because AI is more like a toddler.

It will do what you ask it to do.

But it won’t imply what you mean.

So if you want it to fix your marketing…

Or code your new platform…

Or build a rocket to fly to Mars without blowing up…

You are still going to have to test it all.

And it WON’T be perfect.

In the end, the better you get at shepherding it to the answers, the faster you get to the answers.

It will help you get the detail hammered out faster than you could have gotten them done on your own.

It just isn’t Gandalf, Merlin, or Dumbledore.

GASP!!!

Abra-abra-cadabra it’s not gonna reach out and grab ya.
