You might be operating in reactive mode if:

  • You have many different projects aka a “wish list” but no plan to connect them to a larger vision.

  • “Increase sales!” is an objective of yours but with no HOW you’ll actually achieve it and in a way that makes you stand out from your competition.

  • You’ve had little to no significant returns on initiatives because they weren’t aligned with a priority. In retrospect it was indeed a waste of time, money and energy.

  • Disconnected, confused employees due to a lack of clear sense of purpose and direction.

Like a car with a slow leak in the tire you might keep going for a bit. Or maybe I should say like a duelist with only a couple loaded in the cylinder, you could get off a shot or two. Run your business like this though and it’s only a matter of time before it costs you in a major way.
