I posted this question to some revops people people recently not really expecting much.

I mean isn’t everyone having a great time with AI and their automation workflows? Their agentic workflows?

If you read LinkedIn, it sure seems like they are.

Everyone has this map of their n8n agent with like 8000 nodes on it. And then they are alike “I built Rome in a day!!!”

And I sit there looking at it — blink, blink.

And then I start thinking, “I must have missed something.”

The truth is I didn’t.

Here’s what’s coming up in the responses that I’m getting to the question above.

“Everyone feels the same way.””I feel you, I’ve heard many ppl talk about how most AI tools are essentially just pitch decks and the product is a “custom setup”.”

“…it’s one of the problems I see as part of my work every day.”

Can’t we just stop the effing insanity?

I mean come on already…

When are we going to learn that snake-oil salesmen exist as part of every boom?

And to make things worse??

AI is writing the snake-oil salesmen’s scripts now.

I can’t sit here and watch these people besmirch the amazing work that went into getting all this AI up and running.

There is another way.

There always has been.
